The first 8 Kani have predefined colors and attributes. The predefined set is to create balance within the game. All Kani generated after the initial eight will be a combination of the characteristics of their parents and be decided by randomness during the KGE (Kani Generating Event). The main attributes of the Kani are their fighting skills (power, wrestling, stamina) and their procreation skills (stamina and charisma). The latter will be implemented into the game during the second stage. The Kani also have their shell color/schema and the possibility of a mutation. All color schemas and attributes are decided
The attributes of the Kani can be split into two categories, aesthetics and battle. The first 8 (4 female/4 male) Kani have predefined colors and attributes to create balance within the game. All Kani generated after the original 8 have attributes acquired through random generation.
The aesthetic attributes are derived from the parents of the Kani, and these govern the color schema the Kani will have. The battle attributes are created by the random number generation. These stats can be broken into fighting skills (striking, wrestling, stamina) and procreation skills (stamina and charisma). A combination of all skills will be essential for a Kani to be successful.
As time has passed, more has been learnt about the Kani. The Kani have a variety of fighting skills. These fighting skills are split into two categories, striking and wrestling. The Kani take on the fighting skills of the region they join at creation. In addition, the areas of the parents play a fundamental role. The Kani has a striking advantage when attacking a Kani from the same region as their father. Similarly, they have a wrestling advantage when attacked by a Kani from the same area as their mother.
To make this game somewhat open in the early stages, the attributes will be available in various forms. The Kani data will be available through ARC69 notes on the NFT assets or our public GitHub repo.
